DocPack Privacy Policy

DocPack is a document utility published by AJ Apps Studio. This policy describes the Free DocPack 0.4.0 app for Android.

Summary

DocPack processes documents locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not send your documents to a DocPack cloud service. DocPack does not use cloud or AI document processing.

Information handled by the app

When you choose to use these features, DocPack handles:

JPEG and PNG images that you import;
document photos that you capture with the camera;
PDFs that you import and the specific PDF pages you select;
managed local copies of imported sources needed to reopen and edit a pack;
thumbnails, previews, and other derived files used to display and process pages;
document-pack metadata, such as pack names, page order, source filenames, source type, source page numbers, dimensions, file size, and import/update times;
PDFs generated from your document packs.

This information is used to provide the document-pack features you request. It is stored in DocPack's app-private local storage on your device, except when you explicitly save or share a file to another location or app.

Collection, sharing, and tracking

DocPack does not collect or share user data with DocPack or AJ Apps Studio through the app. DocPack has no account system and no DocPack cloud service. The app does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and it does not upload documents for cloud or AI processing.

Camera permission

DocPack requests Android's CAMERA permission so you can capture a document page and add it to a pack. The camera is used only when you choose the camera source. You can deny the permission and continue using image and PDF import features.

Save, share, and open source actions

DocPack sends a file outside its app-private storage only after an action you initiate:

Save PDF lets you choose an Android document provider and destination.
Share PDF passes a generated PDF to the Android share interface and the app you select.
Open source passes a read-only managed source to a compatible external viewer you select.
Import uses the Android picker or camera flow you select to read the chosen source.

Files provided to another app, storage provider, or destination are then handled under that app's or provider's own terms and privacy practices. DocPack cannot control or delete copies that you save or send outside DocPack.

Local storage and backups

DocPack stores packs, managed image and PDF sources, metadata, thumbnails, previews, and generated PDFs in app-private local storage. Android automatic backup is disabled for DocPack. Device manufacturers, operating-system tools, device management, or storage providers may have behavior outside DocPack's control.

Deletion and cleanup

Removing a page removes it from the pack. DocPack removes its managed source copy when that copy is no longer needed by another page or pack, and removes associated derived previews and invalidated generated PDFs as part of normal cleanup.

Deleting a pack removes its pack record and DocPack-managed source files, thumbnails, and generated PDFs that are no longer referenced by another pack. Temporary PDF-rendering files are removed after processing, and stale temporary or unreferenced managed files are cleaned up by the app at a high level during normal use.

Deletion from DocPack does not delete an original file you imported, a PDF you saved to a chosen destination, or a copy previously shared with another app. Android and storage systems may retain deleted data according to their own operation. DocPack does not claim secure erasure or that recovery is impossible.

Children

DocPack is a general document productivity utility and is not designed for children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when DocPack's behavior or legal requirements change. The updated policy will show a revised effective or last-updated date.
